Candy Surprise Eid Card {Tutorial}

With our big extended family, we realized we needed more Eid cards then the one we made last week.

So today we thought it might be fun to make a card that looks like a candy wrapper from the outside, but when you open it, it has a nice surprise inside.

Supplies

12 x red card stock
Small long strip of green card stock
Eid Mubarak printed on colorful paper
Scissors
Double sided tape
Crayons or markers

Fold each end of the red card stock toward the center.

Turn the card over and fold it back the other way.

For the “spring” fold the green strip of paper diagonally in the center.

Start folding the ends over each other, going back and forth until you get to the end.

Tape the end down so that it looks like a little “spring.” This will make the Eid Mubarak saying pop out when the person opens the card.

Tape the back of the Eid Mubarak saying to the spring.

Tape the saying to the spring and then to the middle of the card.

Cut out the edges of the red cardstock into triangles and cut out triangles shapes at the top and bottom of the card.

Decorate your card with crayons, strips of paper, markers or any thing else to make it a little more ornamental and look like a candy wrapper.
