Kid Chick Craft {Tutorial}

We made this adorable tissue paper craft today becuase I wanted to teach my daughter the Arabic word for chick, which is soos.
Since a chick plays a major role in the song Grandpa’s farm, today we decided to make our own that can chirp for us while we sing the song.
Supplies

Cut four sheets of tissue paper that are 3 x 4 inches and four pieces that are 2 x 3 inches.

Stack the 3 x 4 pieces on top of each other into one pile and then fold them accordion style. Do the same for the 2 x 3 sheets of paper.

Cut out a little piece of wire and wrap it around the middle of each stack (separately). Twist the wire so that the stack will stay folded.

Fluff out each layer toward the middle to form a little paper pom-pom.

Then add a bit of glue to the smaller pom-pom to attach it to the bigger pom-pom.Cut out a piece of 1/2 in square out of the orange paper for the beak.

Fold it in half diagonally to create a triangle. Put a dab of glue on the folded edge and position the beak inside a few folds of the smaller pom-pom. Glue the googly eyes right above the beak.

Now your soos is done and ready to play with you!
