Ramadan Good Deeds Book {Tutorial}

ramadan crafts, good deeds, book, diy, tutorial

This little handmade book is the perfect first Ramadan craft for little hands to make and record good deeds during the holy month.

Make ones like ours to record all the good deeds you do for the next 30 days. We added a ribbon to wear it around our neck to always have something to write on.

Supplies

8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper
Ruler
Pencil
Scissors
Stapler
Thin nail
Ribbon
Pencil/Color pencils
Glue stick

Measure in 1 1/2 inches from one end of the long paper strip you just cut. Fold the strip at this point. Continue accordion folding the strip. Fold the paper neatly and crease each fold well. Set this piece aside.

Make marks on the 1 3/4, then 1/4 inch from that, then 2inches from that, and finally 1/2inch from that onto the inside of the manila rectangle.

Glue the last page of the accordion folded booklet to the back of the folded cover. The longer front flap will tuck into the shorter one when the book is closed (like a matchbook).

With a nail (or in our case a hole punch) punch a hole in the center of the arrow spine at the top of the book (the space between the back cove and the front flap). You want to make sure you have a backing where you are going to punch the hole. We used the cork on the back of our ruler.

Tie the ends together. Thread the folded end of the ribbon trough the hole from the inside out. The knot will catch on the inside of the hook.

Decorate the outside of your book with your name and your own unique design. With the pen, write your good deeds during the month of Ramadan in your book. I was not able to get a good final photo as everything came out too blurry! I hope you were able to follow along with these steps.
