Palm Tree Celery Stamp Art {Tutorial}
Using celery as a paintbrush is unusual and allows children to look at old things in a new way. We used this unexpected new technique to paint a palm tree.
We used green paint for the palms and brown paint for the trunk. You can use more than one stalk to paint, or just flip your ends around for each color.
Supplies
Celery
Paint
Paper plate
Sharpie
Paper
Use the sharpie to draw out a palm tree outline.
Add some paint to your paper plate and dip your celery into it. Remove some of the excess paint on the plate.
Use your celery to paint the green of the palm leaves.
Once you finish, add brown paint and fill up the tree trunk.
Let your masterpiece sit for 24 hours. Especially if excess paint was used. Find a frame and your art is ready for the wall!
