Teabag Folding Khatam Card {Tutorial}

Now that my daughter’s Ramadan craft from yesterday has dried, she was ready to make a card to go with it.

She spent a little time folding some origami paper to create a teabag fold khatam. A khatam, or hatim, is Arabic for eight point star and seen a lot in Islamic geometric designs.

Supplies

  • Blank card
  • Double sided tape
  • Origami paper cut into four squares, 2 contrasting colors
  • Round circle cut out

Here are the step by step photos of how she made the khatam.

So fun and easy to make! Be sure to stop by A Crafty Arab on Pinterest for more card tutorials.
